Dads grieve too. Fathers lose too. You are not forgotten on this and every Father’s Day.
Acknowledging that Dads are impacted just as much as Mothers after the loss of a child, is so important. Often the Dads are the first to go back to work, to get the groceries, to get back to ‘normal’. But this doesn’t mean that they aren’t grieving. Gone are the days where men weren’t allowed to show emotion. It’s 2021. We need to acknowledge men in their grief and show our support, every day, but especially Father’s Day. Father’s Day can be a really challenging time for a bereaved Dad and it can be really hard to navigate. It is nice for them to know that there are no expectations and that they are not forgotten.
